Sinjar Academy Book “Introduction to Yazidiology” Signing Event

Yesterday, Friday, August 7, 2026, we were honored to organize the book signing event in Sinuni for the landmark publication, "Introduction to Yazidiology: History, Customs and Traditions, and Yazidi Religious Beliefs".

This academic textbook was developed under the supervision and sponsorship of Sinjar Academy. It offers a rigorous academic study of the Yazidi religion as understood and presented by the Yazidi community itself. We are especially proud to highlight that the book was authored by an elite group of Yazidi authors—Dr. Majid Hassan Ali, Dr. Rezan Shivan Aysef, Dr. Hadi Taalo Pir, Researcher Shukr Khidr Murad Al-Aldakhi—with contributions from a distinguished group of academics and researchers.

We were privileged to welcome a wonderful gathering of authors, media representatives, and engaged community members. The event featured an insightful introductory speech and a fantastic open discussion with the authors about the book's core themes.

How to get your copy: Copies of the book for readers will be available. You will be able to pick up your copy directly from Sinjar Academy in Sinuni.
