Enrollment open for Transitional Justice Course
We are excited to announce the opening of applications for admission to our new one-month Transitional Justice course. The course will cover the fundamentals of transitional justice in the context of the Yazidi genocide. Learning modules will include the fundamentals of international law, criminal accountability, reparations, the truth-telling process and institutional reforms applied to the Yazidi case. At the end of the course, students will be more familiar with the concept of transitional justice and be able to become advocates for their community. The course includes a total of 20 hours, with students able to choose between attending class in person at our center in Sinuni, Sinjar or online. It will be taught by Natia Navrouzov, a legal expert and the director of Legal Advocacy at Yazda. There will also be guest speakers, including experts in the field, who will discuss selected topics to further enrich the course.
